Partnership between electric mobility and decarbonization
The Iliad Group, the parent company of the operator Free, has chosen Qovoltis and its smart charging infrastructures to meet its decarbonization strategy.
The Iliad Group and Qovoltis: an intelligent partnership
The Iliad Group, the parent company of the operator Free, is joining forces with Qovoltis, an expert in the field of smart charging infrastructures, to deploy a network of terminals dedicated to its fleet of electric vehicles.
This partnership is part of the Iliad Group's climate strategy and illustrates its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and supporting its employees in choosing more ecological and sustainable modes of transport.
The Group's climate strategy, announced in January 2021, aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2035, 15 years ahead of the Paris Agreement. One of the 10 commitments in this strategy aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the 4,500 vehicles in the Group's fleet through gradual electrification.
In this approach, the Iliad Group has initiated a call for tenders to equip the Group's sites with charging stations within 3 years and has retained Qovoltis, an expert in the field of intelligent charging infrastructures for electric vehicles that optimize and control the cost of charging.
The choice to equip itself with intelligent charging stations, installed and managed by Qovoltis, will allow the Iliad Group to optimize and control charging time and energy consumption. Compatible with V2G* (Vehicle To Grid) and Plug&Charge** standards, Qovoltis terminals have an unequalled technological advance in the field.
With this new agreement, Qovoltis reinforces its leadership in the field of smart charging solutions for electric vehicles and its key role in supporting companies in their energy transition.

*Vehicle-to-Grid: (ISO 15118-20) makes it possible to use electricity stored in vehicle batteries when demand on the electrical network is at its highest. The batteries of parked vehicles thus become places for storing energy and micro-distributors of electricity.
**Plug&Charge: (ISO 15118-20) allows automatic and secure customer authentication as soon as the customer connects the vehicle to the charging station.
