On the occasion of the recent increase in electricity prices, we published our barometer which sheds light on the prices and economic profitability of the transition to electric mobility. In particular, we return to the price differences between charging on the highway, charging at home, conventional or smart.
The cost of recharging an electric vehicle to travel 100 km varies between €2.5 and €10.6 and the charging time can take less than 5 minutes to nearly 8 hours!
What are the best solutions for recharging your electric vehicle at the best price?
In this case, Qovoltis recommends:
- Charge your vehicle to 100% the day before leaving home;
- Prepare your itinerary with a specialized application (such as ABRP) to predict the number of charging stops necessary along the way and the location of the stations;
- Use the pre-conditioning function before driving to preheat your vehicle without discharging the battery;
- Choose cheaper accelerated recharges (between 7.4 and 22 kW) as much as possible;
- Practice eco-driving to optimize consumption and gain autonomy (during the braking and deceleration phases, the electric vehicle recovers energy);
- Give preference to public chargers without long-term pricing;
- Save money by using the Qovoltis charger network.
