Qovoltis reveals its smart charging solution for electric vehicles
Birth of a new player in charging stations to facilitate new modes of daily mobility
A mobility facilitator, Qovoltis enters the market for electric vehicle charging stations. Created in August 2019 by Ehsan Emami and his partners, the French company Qovoltis is launching an innovative charging station solution combining performance, intelligence, transparency of offers, remote management, security and design.
The Qovoltis solution
Efficient, the Qovoltis charging station offers a power of 22 kW in three phases allowing it to recharge an electric vehicle in just 15 minutes to complete the 30 km daily required to meet the needs of users. It is also effective for a full recharge (2.5 hours) of a city car equipped with a 50 kWh battery. Equipped with a QR code scanner, the user is authenticated using the Qovoltis mobile application. With the terminal connected, authentication is simple, fast and secure.

- In optimized mode, the terminal evaluates the best time to recharge according to the low/full time slots and thus allow the user to benefit from the best electricity rates.
- In fast mode, the terminal recharges the vehicle without delay in order to respond as quickly as possible to the needs of the user. By using Artificial Intelligence techniques, the Qovoltis solution is equipped with an algorithm that allows an optimal distribution of charging power between the various vehicles and thus avoids any overload at the level of the main meter.
With remote control, the Qovoltis terminal is accompanied by a mobile application available for free on App Store, and on Google Play. Three criteria must be filled in to start charging:
- Expected departure time,
- Number of kWh required,
- Type of refill: fast or optimized.
The Qovoltis application makes it possible to monitor the evolution of charging in real time, to modify it or to interrupt it according to the needs of the user. The “Location” page allows you to find the nearest available Qovoltis terminal. The “History” page allows you to track your consumption: by month, by week or by year.
Security and stability are at the heart of the design of the Qovoltis terminal. It does not overload the network and prevents breakdowns. So, the Qovoltis terminal fully complies with the IEC 61851-1 standard relating to charging systems for electric vehicles.
Elegant and discreet: The Qovoltis terminal reveals a simple and refined design which values the real estate assets of businesses, condominiums and individual homes. Dressed in noble materials, and composed of aluminum and high-strength polycarbonate, waterproof, the terminal withstands shocks and bad weather. With its bluish lighting, it diffuses a soft light allowing it to be easily identified in the dark or at night.

The Qovoltis solution is ready to welcome Plug&Charge technology which allows the automatic authentication of the customer account as soon as the vehicle is connected to the charging station; thus Qovoltis anticipates the generalization of the ISO 15118-2 standard (automation of the authentication phase). Once the customer account has been identified, the recharge starts instantly.
Equipped with a certified bi-directional electric meter, the full compatibility with Vehicle-to-Grid technology (V2G). This technology allows each vehicle to become a micro producer by reinjecting electricity stored in the vehicle battery back into the network at a time when demand is at its highest.

- The Qobox S (wall version) With a simple and elegant design, the Qobox S is a highly high-tech, compact and cubic object, measuring 35 x 35 x 15 cm. Under its aluminum shell, it offers the most advanced technologies for recharging electric vehicles. Ideal for single-family homes, condominiums, businesses, public car parks, etc.
- The Qobox T (Totem version) The Qobox T is fixed and powered from the ground, which allows it to be installed on outdoor car parks without walls. With a clean design, measuring 35 x 133 x 16 cm, it fits elegantly into parking spaces, ideal for both outdoor and indoor use.
