Corporate fleet: what are the advantages for professionals?

Pre-equipment work, installation of charging stations, application for subsidies... For businesses, the transition to electricity requires taking several steps. To support them in this change, Qovoltis offers dedicated and personalized solutions. But why choose to electrify your vehicle fleet? Who can you trust to install charging stations? The complete guide.

Businesses: subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles

Make the choice to renew your corporate fleet by electric cars is not an easy task. To encourage businesses in their approach, the State has put in place several financial aids and forms of support:

Accessible under certain conditions, this bonus makes it possible to partially finance the purchase and installation of charging stations. It covers up to 20% of installation costs up to a limit of €600 per charging point. If the terminal is accessible to the public (and not to employees only), this amount is 30% up to a limit of €1,300.

  • Exemption from taxes on passenger vehicles used for economic purposes (ex-TVS)

Since January 1, 2022, the tax on company vehicles (TVS) has been replaced by two new annual taxes: the tax on CO2 emissions and the tax on the age of the vehicle. Clean vehicles running on electricity or hydrogen are exempt.

· The establishment of low-emission mobility zones (ZFe-m)

Access to them is prohibited to the most polluting vehicles. This system is based on Crit'Air stickers: in the long term, the objective is to allow only 100% electric and classified 1 and 2 vehicles to drive.

  • The ecological bonus

Extended in 2023, it allows businesses to finance the purchase of an electric vehicle or a plug-in hybrid vehicle. Its amount is capped at €3,000.

  • The conversion bonus

Cumulative with the ecological bonus, this Device is aimed at companies wishing to renew their fleet with low-emission vehicles. Its amount is €2,500 for a passenger car, and 40% of the acquisition cost for a light commercial vehicle (under certain limits).

Good to know

Some regions such as Paris Grand Est, Normandy or Occitanie offer local subsidies for businesses wishing to install charging stations in their car parks.

Reduced maintenance and fuel costs

Compared to an internal combustion car, the maintenance costs of an electric vehicle are considerably reduced. The reason? The absence of a combustion engine as well as numerous spare parts. In fact, an internal combustion vehicle has nearly a thousand spare parts... compared to a dozen for an electric car. Maintenance is therefore less restrictive, and therefore cheaper.

Greening your fleet is also synonymous with fuel savings. On average, the cost of recharging an electric vehicle is 4 times lower than a full tank for an internal combustion vehicle.

Retaining employees thanks to electricity

In business, the majority of trips require traveling between 25 and 50 km per day. The electric car is thus adapted to the majority of business trips and offers a major advantage: it is no longer necessary to stop at a service station. Employees will be able to recharge their vehicle directly in the company car park at a dedicated terminal.

The electric car also offers better driving comfort. A real asset for employees who benefit from its advantages on a daily basis: absence of noise while driving, reduction of stress, ease and pleasure of driving, more powerful acceleration at startup... and more.

But that's not all: engaging in electromobility also contributes to your company's CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) commitment. According to a study conducted by the ICCT (International Council on Clean Transportation) in 2021, electric vehicles emit 3 times less greenhouse gases than internal combustion vehicles. This approach demonstrates your desire to reduce your carbon footprint and enhances your employer brand.
